Gallery
Fine Art from the late 19th Century to the present
Covering a vast period from c.1880 to the present, the gallery presents work representing modern movements from Symbolism to Pop Art, with occasional excursions into contemporary art. A collector at heart, Patrick Derom selects his acquisitions on the basis of two criteria: quality and his personal enthusiasm for the artist or work.
Amongst the artists exhibited past and present, we can mention:
Josef Albers - Hans Arp - Evelyne Axell - Bernard Aubertin - Pol Bury - Alexander Calder - Paul Cézanne - Salvador Dali - William Degouve de Nuncques - Jean Degottex - Paul Delvaux - Jean Delville - Jean Dewasne - Piero Dorazio - James Ensor - Max Ernst - Lucio Fontana - Sam Francis - Alberto Giacometti - Julio Gonzales - Arshile Gorky - George Grosz - Jean Hélion - Barbara Hepworth - Fernand Khnopff - Gustav Klimt - Frank Kupka - Walter Leblanc - Sol Lewitt - Heinz Mack - August Macke - Alberto Magnelli - René Magritte - Georges Mathieu - Man Ray - Xavier Mellery - Constantin Meunier - George Minne - Joan Miro - Amedeo Modigliani - François Morellet - Louise Nevelson - Ben Nicholson - Otto Piene - Félicien Rops - Kurt Schwitters - Victor Servranckx - Jesus Rafael Soto - Léon Spilliaert - Takis - Antonio Tapies - Frits Van den Berghe - Victor Vasarely - Fabienne Verdier - Edouard Vuillard - Tom Wesselmann - Marthe Wéry - Ossip Zadkine...
For many years, the gallery has participated at numerous international art fairs (Basel Art Fair - Biennale des Antiquaires, Paris - Salon des Antiquaires, Paris - The International Fine Art Fair, New York - Foire des Antiquaires, Brussels, Salon du Dessin, Paris a.o.). The past years we have decided to focus on two fairs per year: TEFAF Maastricht and TEFAF Spring, New York.
At the gallery in Brussels, exhibitions are organized once or twice per year. Recently, we have chosen to work on a more personal basis with our clients, including museums as well as private collectors. Between exhibitions, the gallery is open by appointment ... or by chance. Visitors are always welcome, but please call ahead to check we’re in!
